Common health issues assisted by healthy foods
Of Interest, from the past;
Henry G. Bieler (April 2, 1893 – October 11, 1975) was a prominent American physician, best known for his book Food is Your Best Medicine, which advocated the treatment of disease with foods. He wrote "Man is not nourished by the food he eats, but only in proportion to what he is able to digest and assimilate." He is widely recognized as a pioneer in alternative medicine who used non-pharmaceutical, diet-based therapies to cure or control various diseases including asthma, diabetes, and cancer. Dr. Bieler was often at odds with the American Medical Association because he believed that drugs were harmful and advised his patients to avoid them. His famous patients promoted his ideas because his diets overall helped them regain health after years of unwholesome lifestyles. Over the years patients from many demographics came to see him from around the world seeking help for treating various illnesses that their other doctors could not give to them.
