Tips on cooking with peppermint

Cooking with peppermint

Mint is a delicious and refreshing tasting herb that is used for a variety of dishes and drinks.

It is traditionally made into a mint sauce to be used as an accompaniment to roast lamb. Mint sauce is made with vinegar, water and chopped mint leaves.

Also commonly used in soup made with chopped tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, peppers and other herbs served cold.

Its leaves may also be used fresh and mixed into all sorts of vegetable, fish and meat dishes. Or its leaves can be chopped and added to a fruit salad.

Its pleasurable taste also lends itself to dishes with carrots and peas.

Mint is also a favorite addition when cooking fruit in syrup or stewing fruit.

Favorite drinks can be made, such as a mint tea, Cuban Mojito cocktail or even milkshakes.
