Tips on cooking with dill

Cooking with dill

To retain dills refreshing scented aroma add its feather like leaves in the dish in the last few minutes of cooking.

When cooking with the dill's seeds, it is best to lightly heat them in a frying pan before adding to the recipe. This has the effect of unlocking the flavor from the seeds. As the flavor is quite strong use them sparingly.

1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill is the equivalent of 1 teaspoon dried dill weed.

Dill is a good addition to almost any recipe. Especially used for seafoods like salmon and trout.

It is also a favorite with soups, dips, dressings, breads, meats, poultry, egg salads and vegetables.

Even the humble sandwich can be enhanced with the addition of dill for flavor and decoration.
