Tastier cooking recipes can be healthier if you know this ...

When it comes to cooking recipes it's no secret that in the western world we consume too much salt and sugar in our diets.

The cycle is usually like this; First the large farmers grow their crops for looks and durability instead of taste. (For obvious economic reasons). Second in the cycle we have the food manufacturers whom add lots of salt, processed sugars, preservatives and other unnatural additives to try and give the food flavor and a longer shelf life. Then, third in the cycle come us the consumer. We go to the supermarket and purchase these pre-packaged meals without thinking of the high salt, sugar and preservative additive levels. And yes, out of habit, before we even taste the meal we add more salt.

Sure, the food may taste great and save us some time but our bodies are telling us a different story through ailments such as high blood pressure, weight gain, heart disease and diabetes.

There are better ways to achieve tastier meals, drinks and desserts.

To bring out the real flavors in meals, not only do we need to cook with fresh ingredients we also need the correct combination of ingredients, the correct amount of each ingredient, along with the 'tasty variety' of the particular fruit and vegetable ingredient.

In our cooking recipes we should cook more with onions, garlic, carrots, lemon juice as well as spices and tasty herbs.

Substituting the herb called Stevia in our recipes is a classic example. People living in Japan have been doing this for decades. About Stevia.

Not only do we achieve very tasty meals, drinks and desserts we also obtain a multitude of health benefits as a positive side effect.
